The UK Home Office has announced that it will be making significant increases to Visa and associated fees for people coming to work, study, join family or visit the UK.
They have not indicated from when these fee increases will take effect, however best advice is for anyone currently in the process of coming to the UK or planning to do so, to make their application/s as quickly as possible.
The most significant increase is in the Immigration Health Charge, which has been increased from £624.00 per year of the visa applied for to £1,035.00. If you are a student or under 18 years of age the annual charge changes from £470 to £776 per year.
In addition, Visa fees are set to increase. Work and visit visas will rise by 15%. Student visas, certificates of sponsorship, settlement, citizenship, entry clearance and leave to remain applications by “at least 20%”.
